Asia
Asia is the largest and most populous continent on Earth, covering about 44.58 million km² (17.21 million sq mi), nearly one-third of the world’s total land area. Home to more than 4.7 billion people, it represents around 60% of the global population. The continent is geographically diverse, featuring vast deserts, towering mountain ranges such as the Himalayas, dense rainforests, fertile river valleys, and extensive coastlines along the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
Asia is not only the birthplace of many of the world’s ancient civilizations but also home to some of the fastest-growing modern economies. Its cultural, linguistic, and religious diversity is unmatched, with major global cities like Tokyo, Beijing, Dubai, Singapore, and New Delhi playing central roles in global trade, technology, and tourism.
